Do You Speak French? (12")

RECORD LABEL (COUNTRY) / YEAR / CATALOGUE # / FORMAT / SPEED:

AVI (US) / 1978 / AVI 12-220 D
12" 33 1/3 rpm vinyl

PRODUCTION / RECORDING / MIXER / STUDIO & BAND CREDITS:

Producer: Jean Kluger
Arranger: Ralph Benatar

TRACKLISTING:

Side A
Do You Speak French? [Ralph Benatar / Jean Kluger] (7:40)

Side B
There's No Girl Like My Girl [Daniel Vangarde / Jean Kluger] (4:00)

A good 12 inch single that has that distinctive AVI sound, in fact it sounds like some of El Coco's productions even though Rinder and Lewis were not, apparently, involved.

"Do You Speak French?" is a bit like a French lesson with phrases spoken in English by the man, and then repeated in French by the girls, in a typically disco innuendo style, for example:

"Touch....Touchez
Softly....Doucement
Harder....Plus fort!
It feels good...C'est si bon!"

And the chorus simply repeats "Do you speak French? Do you wanna speak French? Parlez-vous FranΑais?"
