The "Zodiac Lady" album, was released in 1977, produced by Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellote, she became a disco diva .She got world-wide fame by her first smash hit "ZODIACS". It was the first time that a diva sang the planets and the horoscope. Her album had also the hit "I'm Sagittarius". This time Roberta describes her personality, in a delicious groove. Excellent album.
Side 1 is a segued disco medley, Moroder's trademark format.
For better or worse, its three songs are written, produced and sung in the style of a late-70's broadway musical. The result is cheesy at first, but builds to a thrill. Kelly's exuberance and Moroder's special effects (much closer to his 1975-76 productions than "I Feel Love" or "From Here To Eternity") are corny but charming.
Side 2 is simply a bore.
