UK's Human League got their start much earlier than their "Don't You Want Me" release would suggest. 1979's "Reproduction" album on Virgin was much darker and techie sounding than what we now are familiar with.
Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware both members of the Human League left in 1980 to start Heaven 17.
"Don't You Want Me" was a huge crossover hit and later released and remixed by A & M here in the US.

Talk about DISCO CLASSICS, this is a huge one! With all the different versions available, a deejay like me, who loves the LIVE remix, DON'T YOU WANT ME BABY is a godsend. It allowed me to blossom creativity, to express my daily feelings through my mixes. All those constant beats, gave me plenty to work with and enjoy. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10. What made DON'T YOU WANT ME BABY extra special, was the crowd appeal, no matter when or what you played, the crowd always responded positively. A must have DISCO record for all collectors.
