LOVE BUG was a funny record. It was pure DISCO, very little vocals, lots of rhythmic music driving home the point that you should be on the dance floor. At the beginning this was a PRIME TIME PLAYER, but faded from the mainstream quickly. On my scale from 1-19 it gets a 5.

this song will always be in my "top 10 favorites" list of disco tracks. Sexy, string laden, lightly funky. Kind of like a disco symphony. And who could miss the double entendre lyric: "I'm a love bug, I'll sting you with my love!" Like many of Silver Conventions best tracks, the lyric goes no further than that, but no matter: devastating, nonetheless. And once again, the influence of Chic is prominent: strings are converted to a lead instrument, and the results are hypnotic. Why isn't anyone making music this good today?
