While some people firmly believe that this was THE FIRST DISCO RECORD, I beg to differ. It wasn't released as a DISCO record, but more like R&B. And the TERM DISCO wasn't born yet. Granted, it was played regularly at every early DISCO, but that is strictly because of the quality of the song. Also, back in the real early days, and I WAS THERE! there simply wasn't enough product available. So BLACK SKIN BLUE EYED BOYS was played extensively in a JAMES BROWN, funky set. That increased its longevity more. I remember the crowds singing along to the chorus, then I would turn the volume totally off. The Crowd continued their accappella version until I resumed and raised the level up again. On my scale from 1-10, this DISCO CLASSIC gets a well deserved 10.
