Sir Monti Rock III stormed the floor with this Disco extravaganza. One of the first big Disco hits. Most releases say Disco-Tex And HIS Sex-O-Lettes, but the label on this one says Disco-Tex And THE Sex-O-Lettes.

Mar 06, 2008 | 6:40 pmThis record could be THE FIRST DISCO RECORD, but I'm not sure. What it is , is a DISCO CLASSIC. There should have been a 12" version, but those didn't exist back then. So what most old-timers did was get two copies, and we did our own remix versions. This was a fantastic time in DISCO, when the creativity of a deejay was exposed for all to see and enjoy. It also crossed over to TOP 40 and television. DISCO TEX appeared in many variety shows during the early 70's, including a number of appearances with Johnny Carson on the TONIGHT SHOW. On my scale from 1-10 this gets a easy TEN.

May 01, 2007 | 12:06 pmThe whole album 'Disc-O-Tex & his Sex-O-Lettes Review' was a real big Party. Get Dancin', I Wanna Dance Wit' Choo, Boogie Flap and many other great stuff made this album to one of my all-time favourites.
It's now avaible (together with the follow-up-album 'Manhattan Millionaire') on CD (Sequel RecordsNEMCD 421). A MUST HAVE!!!
