MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Tony Silvester produces the percussionist Kalyan and writes the best track extracted from this e.p.: "Disco Reggae" is a nice underground disco full of percussions. "Hello Afrca" (by Eddie Grant) and "Sweet Music" are world music tracks, but the cover of "Nice 'N' Slow" (originally from J.Green) deserves more attention thanks to its sax arrangements.

Nice EP I never knew existed, all cuts here are the same length as the excellent LP.

According to the LP notes fourteen-man band Kalyan was Trinidad's #1 for ten years before this recording, they called their music "Soca" (Soul-Calypso)

"Disco Reggae" is a great jam and was very popular in many Discos at the time.
