Frenchman Paul Mauriat had already been very successful since the 1960s, most notably with his international hit and former Eurovision Song Contest Entry "L'amour est bleu" (Love is blue). In the disco era, Paul released a discofied version of this song, entitled "My Love Is Still Blue".
This 12 inch single, and the LP "Overseas Call" from which it is taken, see Paul taking another successful stab at disco. It opens and ends with instrumental "Power Jam", but the highlight here is the song "The Joy Of You".
