After Vince Montana's split from the Salsoul Orchestra and Salsoul Records, he moved on to Atlantic Records and formed The Montana Orchestra and also Goody Goody .
"#1 Dee Jay" was a major hit for Goody Goody and should be in every Disco collectors arsenal. Vocals were by Vincent Montana's oldest daughter.

A DISCO CLASSIC!! I remember trying to play this record abroad in 1978, it didn't go over as well as it did when I played this in New York City. Nor as good as in Miami. I guess it was big in the states and no-where else?? Great record during the PRIME TIME HOURS. A sure fire floor packer, the best dancers always came forward. Wish it was longer, but I took care of that. On my scale from 1-10, it gets a 10.
