The Glass Family were a California act on the JDC Records label and had a sizeable club track called "Mr. DJ You Know How To Make Me Dance" in 1978. Vocals are by Taka Boom.
The mixing is a little "flat sounding," but well worth a listen. Also check out the album "Crazy" which features Bernie Worrell on synthesizers.
The full extended version of "Mr. DJ..." is available on the Best of JDC Records compact disc with other good JDC disco dance releases.
