Big Dipper and the Heavenly Bodies
Victim Of The Planets b/w Dipper's Delight (12")
(No company listed on label, but should be Epic Records - UK) White label promo / 1981 / Cat # ??? (not listed, but should be A131531)
12" Disco Single 45 rpm vinyl
Unknown (this record has a white label with nothing written/typed on either side!)
Side A:
Victim Of The Planets (5:30)
Side B:
Dipper's Delight (5:18)
This 12 inch single may be from 1981, but is still definitely disco of the late 70s variety.
"Victim Of The Planets" basically takes the theme of "Float On" and Roberta Kelly's "Zodiacs", being about astrological compatibility. Some sample lyrics:
Girls: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, who's it gonna be?
Capricorn, Pisces, give me the answer.
Man: Hey there girls, come along with me, and we'll go study astrology!
Girls: Leo, Virgo, lucky lucky Libra, I'm a solar delight.
Scorpio, Aquarius, sexy Sagittarius
Get your astrological ascendant right, cause I wanna see some stars tonight!
Basically a good fun disco record. The B-side is effectively a mostly instrumental version of the A side.

Barry Lederer of Graebar Sound
DiscoMusic.com's original in-depth interview from 2004 with the late Barry Lederer. Barry began by Djing at several New York area clubs and later taking over Tom Moulton's "Disco Mix" Billboard column and being one of the principals of Graebar Sound. The team at Graebar designed and installed the sound systems for the Saint, 12 West, Trocadero Transfer, Probe and several other world class night clubs in the 1970s. Read it now...
