MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

While Four Below Zero may sound cold, "My Baby's Got ESP" is red hot and a beautifully sung and polished Disco classic.

Four Below Zero is another great Patrick Adams Disco production. Featured here is the white label promo 12" on Roulette Records.

"My Baby's Got ESP" is finally available on a super CD along with other hard to find classics.

  • I WAS THERE INDEED

SO NOW I MISED THIS VERY SMOOTH PHILLY HUSTLER.
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN MY BOX.
I TOO SPUN IN THE EARLY DAYS OF DISCO ITS SO SO LONG AGO THOSE TIMES PAST.
CLUB DANCERS WERE A FICKLED BUNCH AND HAND UNUSUAL LIKES. NOT EVERY THING ON THE CHARTS WAS AS HUGE AS SOME WOULD BLEAVE..
I CLEARED THE FLOOR ONE NIGHT PLAYING LA LA PAECE SONG A YEAR AFTER I PEAKED .. THE NEW FACES DIDNT RECOGNIZE THE SONG!.
THE N.Y.C. RECORD POOL WAS NOT HEVEN AND I HAD TO SUPPLEMENT MY COLLECTION WITH CASH PURCHASES ..
THOSE WERE THE OLD DAYS NOW I WONT BUY A SONG FOR ANY PRICE .. POISONED I AM ..IF AINT FREE IT AINT FOR ME..THIS ALL GOES BACK TO WHEN BEAT COUNTING WAS TOP SECRET ..THATS OLD SCHOOL..
I KNEW ALL THE PIONEER D J`S AND COULD SAY I WAS ON AMONGEST TNEM BUT ,NOT RECOGNIZED . IN ALL I QUIT..
I GET NO RECOGNITION..NO POLITICTS NO GUIDO CONNECTIONS..

DISCO CLASSIC alert!!! If you never heard this song, you are either too young to have been in DISCOS in the mid-seventies, or you were one of the many who dis-liked it. Because if you were anywhere near a DISCO, you would have heard this song many, many times. Very strong song that packed the floors during PRIME TIME HOURS and beyond. Great for mixing in and out of. Good for a remix or two as well. On my scale, it gets a 10.
