UN is another in a line of Tony Green produced Canadian Disco records utilizing American singers. Not bad, but certainly not his best. Hot Lover and Disco Power were the cuts that I recall hearing being played at the time. Disco Power in particular sounds like another Freddie James record which Tony Green also produced.
This promo edition split the album into two 12 inch records so that each of the four songs had an entire side all to its own for better fidelity.

Dec 24, 2009 | 11:32 amFound a mint copy of this in my public library for 50 cents. That cover photo is effing hilarious. The drums on 'Hot Lover' are pretty fantastic. What's Tony Green's best stuff?

Jan 03, 2007 | 8:21 pmHella album cover, though...

As far as I'm concerned - Tony Green's best productions are the first 2 France Joli albums (1979's self titled and 1980's "Tonight"),Freddie James' debut album,Geraldine Hunt's "Sweet Honesty",Carolyne Bernier's great "Out of the shadow" and the 12" he produced for Sharon called "If you love me". It's a remake of Edith Piaf's "Hymne a l'amour" done in the style of Grace Jones' "La vie en rose".
He later produced some pop/freestyle/house tracks for Ciny Valentine and Katie Emme among others. He also reunited with France Joli in the mid-90's and they released one full album (If you love me) and a few major dance hits (Touch/Breakaway).
