La Flavour had a very popular song, "Mandolay," that is always in the top ten of many retro Disco radio show's playlist and heavily requested by listeners and dancers.
I conducted a small interview with La Flavour a few years back and they are still playing live shows in their home state of Ohio.

Mar 20, 2008 | 5:22 pmI remember handing this record out to the deejays at BO CRANE'S FLORIDA RECORD POOL, and them rejecting it. I was first amazed that they didn't see or hear how great a DISCO song this was. Then that turned to frustration as they laughed at my high recommendations. Finally I laughed a week later, when they told me I was right. PERFECT song to mix in and out of. PERFECT song to remix. Always a crowd favorite, and for almost a year, a PRIME TIME PLAYER. On my scale from 1-10, it is an easy 10.

They tried. I remember a second 12' being released, forget it;s name, I didn't play it enough to remember it. They made a lot of money off MANDOLAY anyhow.
