A very nice and hard to find LP by Disco Kids from New York's independent Dellwood Records label.
Most of the numbers are uptempo, including the two David/Bacharach cover versions ("What the world needs now", and the Carpenter's "Close to you") In fact these two songs are the highlights of the album.
"Lovers' Concerto" is another cover version, but this is more midtempo, as is the Camillo penned "It ain't what you do".
"El Cumbanchero" as the name suggests has a latin feel, and "Kung Fu dancing" has a chinese-styled introduction.
Disco Kids released a 12 inch single called "Action, Satisfaction" a year later, but other than that very little is known about this group.

To add to this review; I now believe that Disco Kids DIDN'T release "Action Satisfaction"; I was fooled by a wrongly attributed mp3 (which was in fact by Melody Stewart).
