MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

"Rain" by the Goombay Dance Band is a cover of an earlier Disco song by both Titanic and Calhoon. Goombay Dance Band is best described as another Boney M.

Dear Sirs, Why are we not able to listen to a preview of the songs we wish to find on your wonderful music sites. How can we possibly know this is the group that we admire the song by... Thanks, Love Irene Pagan

Bernie is brilliant, but human; I don't see the connection to Boney M.

What it always sounded like to me was a strangely ahead-of-its-time soundalike to The Pet Shop Boys. Dont get excited, it's not great, but above-average. I always imagined a D.J. playing it for us boys at an outdoor party when the clouds came it, maybe mixed into Chaka Khan. Whatever...

    Correction:

"Rain", by The Goombay Dance Band is not a cover of Titanic or Calhoon.
Titanic and Calhoon both had a hit with a song called "Rain 2000"
