What it always sounded like to me was a strangely ahead-of-its-time soundalike to The Pet Shop Boys. Dont get excited, it's not great, but above-average. I always imagined a D.J. playing it for us boys at an outdoor party when the clouds came it, maybe mixed into Chaka Khan. Whatever...

Titanic and Calhoon both had a hit with a song called "Rain 2000"
