MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Knock-out Latin model / actress Flower had a great Disco song with "How" in 1978. "How" was from the album "Heat" which was released in 1979 and produced by Richie Rome (a. k. a. Ritchie Rome). Rome is best known for putting together the Ritchie Family. Why he goes by Richie and Ritchie is beyond me.

Flower appeared in, I believe, Playboy or Penthouse during the 80's and she was HOT! She later had a track on Montage called "New York" produced by Joe La Greca. Both "How" and "New York" appear on a best of compact disc.

Just picked this one up in Notting Hill Gate bargain basement Record & Tape exchange for £3. What a find. I thought I had everything disco then up comes a Flower, never heard this before but liking it very much. "How" Reminds me very much of the "African Suite" LP tracks like "Vibes" & "In the Pocket".Nice.

just got this album today (and for free in the bargain bins). I also bought THP's "Good to Me", "Theo Vaness" and Isaac Hayes' "Tough Guys" soundtrack. VERY good disco shopping day!

Just discovered this album, and it is AMAZING. Reminds me of some of Boris Midney's stuff. Fantastic mix of strings, spacy vocals and synth. What a treat! The best thing for us disco freaks is to find a long lost gem, and Flower is a must for any disco fans. I shall be telling everybody who doesn't know this album to get theirhands on it! wish i'd have been a dj in '79, because flower would have been a definite floor-filler. Glad the rest of you like it too!Let's bring Flower back!

While hardly out of this world, this is still a very enjoyable album of wonderful, sleek, lush disco. My favourite cut is "Classical Love". If you like Ultimate ("Love Is The Ultimate"), get this album. Hot Productions issued a nice "Best Of Flower" CD 1995 that still can be found at reasonable prices, including all the recordings by Miss Flower.
