Oh my, it's time to visit our friends over in France to hear their musical contribution to Disco music. Sure everyone has heard of such French artists as Cerrone, Martin Circus and Quartz. This time let's take a listen to "Jungle DJ" by Kikrokos .
Kikrokos's "Jungle D.J." was the title track from the album "Jungle D. J. & Dirty Kate". This album was a non-stop brew of pulsating Disco revolving around a central theme of a DJ and his life and love.
The first few verses are:
He was riding in a long black car
Chauffeur in the front for he was a star
O Jungle D. J.. D. J.!
Really knew his way, they say!
Dirty Kate had a spider on her mind
O the needle and the damage done
O Jungle D. J. poor soul . . .
There is also an American white label promo Kikrokos 12 inch with a remix by Jim Burgess who cleverly crafted a thirteen minute package. The Kikrokos album featured here and the 12 inch remix are both highly recommended.

Jun 08, 2007 | 2:06 pmVery nice! But check out Jim Burgess' Spectacular Disco Mix of "Jungle D.J." - it's even better!

"Life is a jungle" is an interesting track, with the most unusual-sounding break: a real techno break before its time..
