Although the name Cory Daye is not well known her voice is as she was the lady who sang for Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band. This, her solo debut on RCA affilaite NY International, yeilded the Disco hit "Pow Wow" and "Green Light." A very good album worth seeking out that mixes Disco with Calypso and Big Band.

Sep 29, 2007 | 8:53 pmA brilliant LP, from start to finish. Produced by Savannah Band Veterans, Cordell, Lindzer and Calello. It never strays from perfect, with every twist and turn. My personal fave is; "They Call Me Bee-Bop Betty, But My Real Name's CoCo Ree".
Why a 2nd solo LP didn't get the green-light, until 1986's "City Lights, Manhattan Cafes" (Which, by the way, was wholly destroyed by bringing in the Latin Rascals to chop it bits!), is beyond me.

Jan 18, 2005 | 4:00 pmCORY AND ME IS SUCH A HOT RECORD. I REMEMBER WHEN I WOULD DANCE TO IT IN THE CLUBS. I WENT TO MY COMPANY CHRISTMAS PARTY AND THEY HAD A DJ. I BROUGHT A COPY OF THE CORY AND ME AND HAD THE DJ PLAY IT WHAT A FUN NIGHT.I HOPE SOMEBODY GETS HER BACK INTO THE STUDIO AND COME OUT WITH MORE FUN HITS. I SAW HER LIVE IN ATLANTIC CITY, MY GOD SHE SOUNDS JUST AS GREAT TODAY. WHAT A PERFORMER. SOUNDS JUST LIKE HER RECORDS WAY TO GO CORY

I don´t remeber why i purchased this album in firts time, I didn`t know Cory Daye and much less Doctor Buzzrad and the Savannah Band but when i played this album, I was amazed. I didn´t know what kind of music is this (I`m still not sure) but it sounds GREAT, a very powerful singer and a bunch of very nice tunes with very creative arrangements of brass and chorus, It was like taking a train into the past to the Big Band era and bring them today . I fall in love with the song "Single Again" and got stick with "Wiggle and A Giggle All Night long" I remember I used letting the record go from the beggining to end and enjoy every track.
