One of the very first Chicago house records. "I Am the Dee Jay" (a true classic) and "Fantasy" are the only songs to even listen to. The other songs by Vincent Lawrence are a waste of time.
The story I heard was that Jesse Saunders only way to get his songs pressed to vinyl was that he hooked up with Lawrence whose father owned a studio. So Jesse let Vince put his tracks on the album. I wouldn't even consider Vince Lawrence's songs house, let alone music. Still this is my most cherished record. Old school all the way!
