The movie, "Saturday Night Fever" starring a young John Travolta could be considered a blessing and a curse for Disco music. While it exposed many people to the already flourishing Disco dancing phenomena, it helped to saturate the market and ultimately create a backlash with many music goers and the record buying public.
Even so the original movie soundtrack to Saturay Night Fever starring mainly the works of the Bee Gees broke sales records and contained some very good tracks.
