The U. S. Navy got a lot of free advertising from this disco smash from the Village Peoples LP "Go West"
In The Navy would be overshadowed by their famed hit single Y. M. C. A. but it didn't stop this record from receiving gold status as well as climbing all the way to number #3 on the pop charts.

Initially issued as a one-sided promotional 12" in photographic slipcover by Casablanca (NBD 20155 DJ), having a 6:35 version of "Manhattan Woman" as the second track on the A side. The above-pictured commercial copy does nonetheless represent the initial 12" release of its B side, "Go West".
