Alec R. Costandinos tries his hand at composing music for the skateboarding film "Trocadero Bleu Citron" in 1978 (titled "Trocadero Lemon Blue" for this American release. The title track starts off sounding like the "B" side to "Romeo & Juliet" and then goes off into different directions with swirling strings and funky guitars. Worth getting just for this cool track. Songs are sung in English whereas the Canadian pressing on RCA is in French.

This Casablanca promo album is rather hard to find, but well worth the effort.

YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS

The magnificent Alec Costandinos produced out-of-this-world symphonic disco with "Romeo & Juliet", but do check out the quite overlooked "Trocadéro Suite" which is a wonderful piece of instrumental disco with his unique trademark sound. It is one of my favourites. The songs on side 2 are less spectacular, "Trocadéro Lemon Blue" as sung by Arthur Simms is enjoyable but forgettable disco, the next three tracks are ballads, but turn up the volume when "Grooves" start, that track kicks b*tt seriously! A great funky instrumental which ought to have been longer than only 3 minutes!
