Apr 09, 2008 | 5:04 pmActually, DAN HARTMAN and his band were playing clubs months, maybe a year before INSTANT REPLAY was released!! He played at BINGHAMPTON'S FERRY BOAT in Jersey in May of 1977!!--- As for INSTANT REPLAY and the REPLAY, they were HUGE HITS. They are "FOR-SURE" DISCO CLASSICS!! I would use two copies to keep the crowd on their toes!! A year after it's release, DAN was at my Club, and I knew that, so I gave him a 35 minute LIVE remix version that was so good, he came over to see what VERSION I was playing. He was thrilled when he saw what I was up to!! From that time on, I always got an extra copy of all his releases from DAN himself!! On my scale from 1-10, it gets an easy TEN!!!

Feb 10, 2005 | 6:43 pmDan first hit the disco scene in 1978 with the amazingly danceable "Instant replay"; it's a great disco track. The 12" of this record was mixed by Tom Moulton.

Issued as a white label promotional 12" by Columbia (Blue Sky) (ASD 520). Side B replaced "......Replayed" with a 14:12 version of "Countdown/This Is It"
