I will start out by saying that "Love In C Minor" by Cerrone is one of my favourite Disco songs of all time (right behind Love Insurance by Front Page). This is what made Euro-Disco what it was going to become. It was a trend setter.
Everyone involved in this later became staples in the Disco field; Alec R. Costandinos (Romeo & Juliet and Love and Kisses), Don Ray (Got To Have Loving), Alan Hawkshaw (Love Deluxe) and of course Cerrone (Supernature).
Up until the release of this record, much of Disco in the US was of an R & B background (Trammps . . . ). Now the world was being introduced to lush euro-style string arrangements with music that just flowed on and on. The British pressing of Cerrone's - Love In C Minor contains the complete intro of the banter between three woman at a club discussing Cerrone's interest in one of them and the original uncensored cover not found on this American version (with the tattooed hands). The British version is the only version to have and worth holding out for.

Sexy!!!

Issued by Atlantic on a promotional 12" (DSKO 86) in early 1977, then reissued (b/w "Cerrone's Paradise") as a 'disco oldie' (DSKO 181) in a 10-number run of two-sided 12" singles in 1979, including titles by Barabbas, Trammps and Boney M. (DSKO 182 was the last of this 'oldie' number run and featured Cerrone's "Supernature" b/w "Give Me Love"). The initial promotional 12" DSKO 86 of "Love in C Minor" was then, and remains today, in our experience, the most difficult-to-find Atlantic 12" promo of all time. We have seen it once, in 1986, and regrettably were not able to purchase it despite a string of generous offers. Anyone out there have it?
