Ritz was a band of 3 black peoples (two men, one woman), I don't know other records of this band and I don't see them on any compilations or any websites on disco and I haven't heard them on any radios in France since 1979! We didn't have an official chart in France at this time but this record was a success (more than 350 000 copies sold).

Dec 11, 2005 | 10:34 amThe locomotion song was also done by
Kylie Minogue . Possibly that was the
original ?? The Ritz version is much
better for the dancefloor , the bassline
is killer . I have been unable to find any
info on the group either . I do however
have two copies of the 12" which I
use for my disco/funk sets.
Definitely a timeless dancefloor classic!!!!

The Long Version (5:40 Min.) is avaible on the double CD-Set 'Les Années Palace' (Sony Music France - SMM 508433 2), released 2002.
Kylie Minogue's Version was released in 1988, almost 10 years after the RITZ Version.
No Question which one the Original (Disco) Version is!
