Reader Comments on Parliament

O.K., let's get one thang straight from the start: THIS AIN'T NO DISCO RECORD! No way, no how! This is P-FUNK, UNCUT FUNK, THE BOMB! This particular slice of P-Funk magic went to number one on the Billboard soul charts in February of 1979(though you'd never know it listening to the classic soul stations of today). It was the first single released from Parliament's sixth studio album "Motor Booty Affair". The lead vocals are supplied by P-Funk mastermind George Clinton, guitarist/vocalist Garry Shider, bass vocalist Ray Davis(who incidentally passed away in July of 2005), and keyboardist Walter 'Junie' Morrison formerly of the Ohio Players.
Anyone who loves dance music that is deeper than disco should have this legendary single in their collection. This single was released at a time when P-Funk mania was at it's peak. No lover of the dance floor can be without this immortal jam of all jams.

AaaaaaHo!!!!

First I want to say I totally agree with Tim's posting, because it is truly P-FUNK...We cant short change it. It's not watered down, although it deals with water. IF YOU AINT DEEP YOU AINT THERE
I love PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC with a passion. This is just one among 100's of their jams!
Anybody who hasn't heard this song by now, get it and listen to it good, then play it again, listen to it good. Now when they get into the remix of it, you have got to check out Bernie Worrell's work on keyboards. I dont have enough words to express the feeling that goes through me when I hear this joint. I also love to hear my man Ray Davis on there. He is or was the Bass Vocalist for Parliament Funkadelic. He is no longer with us. Rest in P... brother Ray
