MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES
A so-so single by Rozalin Woods. Kind of grows on you the more you play it though.

Haunting.
Rozalin's singing is shaky; her key and phrasing are very close to Tracie Spencer a decade later, without the benefit of that bubblegummer's sharp timing. But, true to Bernie's view, here is an instance where the vocal's weaknesses help, rather than hurt. As implied by the title, the theme is unrequited love: Rozalin' cracking plea is carried on some pretty righteous string arrangements, with a kickdrum hook at the beginning and midway. Were Rozalin a better singer, the record wouldn't work at all; as it is, it's probably somewhere deep down in my top 1000 :)
