MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

The first Razormaid anniversary compilation. All silver sleeve with simple black lettering.

"Forever Young" eliminated the slow ending, the best part of the original remix. "C'c'can't You See" was likewise sub-par compared to their original. And by this point the DJ's in the club I worked found "You Spin Me Round" more Dead than Alive.

It was, however, a chance to catch up on some earlier realeases that many had not thought to buy when current. (I was glad to get the Yello.) I would guess at this point that they had obtained the original 24-tracks previously unavailable to RazorMaid!

Why is the cult favorite "Smalltown Boy" not included? Not sure. Perhaps the 24-tracks were not available. Josph Watt was (and continues to be) a perfectionist and my guess is that he would only re-issue a track if he could truly improve upon the original sonics. Still...
