The first issue giving credit for using the original 24-track tapes provided by the record companies. As per the RazorMaid! discogoraphy they stumble upon getting original tracks quite by accident. Early on in RazorMaid!'s tenure they recieved a "cease-and-desist" letter from CBS records. Even though it proved fake they were very paranoid of stepping on record companies' toes as far as using copyrighted material. The fact that RazorMaid! actually asked permission to re-mix the labels' artists, especially the lesser know artists, charmed the record companies so! In Europe and the UK especially, that they gave Watt and Maharg access to the original 24 track tapes, unheard of for DJ subscription services. Up to this point the other services (Disconet, Hot Tracks) were relying on DJ's to tape vinyl and splice these tapes togther for their remixes. These resulted in some great re-edits, but with somtimes less-than-stellar acoustics. RazorMaid! was now truly re-mixing, not just re-editing, resulting in songs that sometimes had little relation to the original commercial realeases.
I love to shock my friends with the profanity-laced "Serious Japan".
