Waters

While not especially liking either the LP housing the above WB release or the fairly obscure LP issued on Blue Note (of all labels!), we have an immense amount of time for the 1980 Arista LP (AB 4253) "Watercolors". Of note are the non-stop, high energy underground track "Party People (7:03) and the bouncy, vocally-creative, R&B "Dance With Me" (5:37), the latter also issued as a promotional 12" by Arista (SP 82) with a short-version Side B (3:20). These tracks are a must for any dance collection. As no listings found, both the LP and 12" single appear to be either overlooked or difficult to obtain or both. Arista rarely issued more than one 12* single from an LP; they may have flipped a coin on this one with "Party People" lost on the underside.
