MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Most of you are familiar with St. Croix native Venus Dodson's "Night Rider," but for the young-um's this was Venus's first and I believe only solo hit. She had previously done the vocals for another Patrick Adams production called Sine (check the "S's" for a cover shot).

"Night Rider" is a very seductive recording with an intro that at first sounds like "Hold Your Horses" by First Choice. This is one of those reords that doesn't sound fast until it is time to mix with it.

Venus Dodson sent me a very nice note recently to tell me that she is still recording her own work although it's not dance related.
