An interesting and quite catchy Disco track by The Beach Boys who were best known for their 1960s surf and beach music. The Disco version featured on this 12 inch single is a bit too long and was taken from The Beach Boys 1979 album L.A. (Light Album).

Feb 27, 2008 | 11:52 amWhen we talk DISCO, the BEACH BOYS usually isn't part of the conversation. It had been over with for a long time, the BEACH BOYS I'm talking about, when in a final attempt to stay reverent, they put out this DISCO record. Guess what, It was pretty good. I played it alot, so did every deejay I knew.Excellent intro, and fantastic breaks. A solid 8 on my scale from 1-10.

Mar 05, 2007 | 9:46 amGreat disco track. Long time Beach Boys fan, I was afraid this track might be a desperate attempt at Disco-bandwagon jumping. Instead, we have here a great track, not really Beach Boys-style, not typically Disco, but a class in between, a class of its own. And certainly a record worth adding to one's record collection...

Feb 16, 2005 | 10:07 amWell known 1960's beach group, THE BEACH BOYS came back in the late 1970's for discofied anthem "Here comes the night", a nice long 12" mix with a great and superb intro.
Drummer was Bruce Johnston who'd had a previous success disco record on Columbia - "Pipeline".

Issued by CBS as a white label promotional 12" in blue vinyl in 1979 as AS 557
