MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

This Paradise Express record sounds a little like Bob-a-rela's "Why Does It Rain?"

Great album all the way! The first song - "Let's Fly" is simply amazing; with it's slow-burning vocals and ambient, pulsing synths. Love the driving, dark, sensual sound. I imagine it would have sounded great in a club with a big sound system. Another good one is their cover of the Motown classic "Nowhere To Run," which somehow manages to work.. "You and I" and the rock-tinged "You Set Me On Fire" are also great tracks..

The album seems pretty representative of what seemed to be the dominant sound (or at least one of the dominant sounds) in 1979. Darker, harder, more synths, a bit more euro and rock in the mix..
