MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

Two members of the group are sons of the legendary Otis Redding . The group recorded on Washington, DC based Believe In A Dream Records.

This LP is a funk LP. with "Remote Control," and "Funkin On The One " being good tracks; however, "Doin It" is a excellent funk track with a heavy thumping bass line.

I remember very well that concert live on the Funky Town Radio Show of the BRT. I was student at that time and had recorded it from the radio....But I hated myself when by mistake I dismagnetized the tape where I recorded it on...

If someone has this concert on a media support (whatever it is), I'm interested!!!

"The Awakening" was the openingtune for the radio show 'Funky Town' on 'BRT radio 2 omroep Brabant' (National Flemish radio in Belgium) in the early 80's. Those were the days! Still one of the hottest funk tracks ever. Peter L.

This album was "HOT" during its time!! Probably the best of those done by the group. A must have for the collection.
