YOUR REVIEWS & COMMENTS
I just found a Brazilian press of this album yesterday. Listening to it I confirm that the best days of Candi were with producer Dave Crawford, who composed her earlier hits "Young hearts run free" and "Victim" (in the albums YOUNG HEARTS RUN FREE and HOUSE OF LOVE). Both CHANCE and CANDI STATON (1980) were produced by Jimmy Simpson and feature more input by Candi herself composing the songs. And both albums are far behind in terms of quality. CHANCE is better than its sucessor, but still lacks fire, even featuring an Ashford/Simpson original ("I live").
