Animotion had a hit in 1984 with a cover of Michael Des Barres & Holly Knight's, "Obsession" from 1983. Ironically, Animotion's version was the hit and is now the better known version.

Dec 08, 2005 | 10:21 pmStill underated in my opinion. Suffered slightly from being fairly quiet on 12" and quite a muddy sounding mix. With a better mix/pressing it would have had a much bigger impact.
A strangely enjoyable track (for a Dj who wasn't particularly into New Wave/electronic/disco rock).
Hey, at CLUB MYSTIQUE(Miami) in 1984 this song was on my regular rotation most of the year, occasionally a prime-time song, but most of the time it was early warm-up music, when the dance floor is starting to get full. If you worked your way up to high energy by beat mixing, , this song wasn't fast enough, not high energy enough to be played in the clutch. Because of that iI can only give this song a 6 on my scale from 1-10.
