Soul singer Esther Phillips reached the success recording for the Kudu label and had an impact on the disco scene thanks to singles such as "What A Difference A Day Makes" and "Magic Is In The Air". In 1977 she switched to Mercury Records and realized the soul-disco classic "Love Addict", noteable to be produced and arranged by Alfred Pee Wee Ellis from J.B.'s.
