Jul 21, 2008 | 3:26 pmI am the son of Everett "Blood" Hollins. I have probably always been my dad's biggest fan, and I went to the studio to see hime record this record. I saw a copy of this record sell on E-bay last year for $103. My dad still plays music, and I still think he's great. His trumpet still brings back memories for me. Thank you for carrying a review of this record.

Mar 03, 2007 | 11:56 pmThis is wonderful and I can only recommend it. As mentionned before, it's all very well mixed, the solos are inch perfect and the rhythm section does a great job. My preference goes to the instrumental version because it has a nice guitar bit. Grab it while you can as it's still not that expensive on the market.

I am very thankful for the support shown way back when, but I feel it be a shame not to mention the rhythm section and other pertinent info. First, the rhythm section , on drums, Mr Steve Jordan, before he played on David Letterman, on Bass the late Mr Bernard Edwards, before " Chic". As a matter of fact I got them their first contract on Dance Dance, Dance. On Guitar and solo "Joe Caro" second guitar was Reggie Lucas , before he started producing Stephanie Mills, On Piano Mr Hubert Eaves and Clavinet. The basic tracks were recorded in the Electric Lady Land studio (owned by the late Jimi Hendrix) The strings were recorded in a studio in New Jersey. outside of Philly, therefore the Strings and horns are the sound of Philly Musicians, but I chose to record them in Jersey thus killing the myth that it could only happen in sigma sound in those days. I mixed it in Alpha Audio in Philly. This song became my motivation and I am still in the Hunt and you will see, I just changed Partners. Jesus is in the drivers seat. You won't believe what you are going to hear this year 2012 ." Out the Box but In the Book" .
