MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES
Love Magic was probably one of John Davis' last songs to make it since there seems to be no mention of him after this period. At around this time he wrote the title tune to the ill-fated Broadway play Got To Go Disco for Pattie Brooks.

An excellent track!!!!

We continue my love affair with JOHN DAVIS and his MONSTER ORCHESTRA. This time it's about what we call, his last DISCO CLASSIC. And like Billy Swann used to say, TRUST ME, when I tell you that this song also kicked butt! It had everything you could possibly want in a DISCO CLASSIC. Shall I list them again, no, already did that on my review of UP JUMPED THE DEVIL. JOHN put together so many great songs to dance to. The floor would still have people performing the HUSTLE!! It is almost 1980 when LOVE MAGIC first was heard in DISCOS. Again the floors would be packed, the quality of the song was fantastic. For a deejay it was more than what we deserved, great introduction, fantastic breaks, the chanting of LOVE MAGIC from the dance floor as they sang along. Outstanding!! On my scale from 1-10, it obviously gets a TEN!!
