Correct copyright/release date is 1976, per the fine-print sentence under the song credits. The 1974 copyright given in the circular information at the bottom of the label is either the label name copyright or a misprint. This early, scarce RCA-distributed 12" was recorded and mixed at Sigma Sound Studio, featuring the Salsoul Orchestra with Vincent Montana, Jr. on vibes, as did songs on the group's first LP, the title track to which is referenced by Bernie above. It is one of the first 15 12" singles released and distributed promotionally by RCA, who depended on their distribution of smaller labels like Midsong for their early foray into 12" singles.
