The cover to Dance Reaction's Disco Train leaves a lot to be desired, but the song fortunately gets our attention. It also shows how the word "Disco" was still in use in Europe despite artists and record labels foolishly distancing themselves from the name in America.
Disco Train is a haunting Euro Disco song which has a very Patrick Cowley synth vibe. It starts off with the spoken word intro:
Hey, you
This is Dance Reaction
Let's go to the disco by train
and have a nice t-t-t-trip
Grab this single if you find it, but put a brown paper bag over the cover. This was also released in Canada on the Siamese label, but I prefer the original release above. While you are at it, avoid the horrible Disco Train '96 version as it's not even the same song.

Jun 30, 2004 | 2:59 amGreat bizzare morning classic. However a total rip off of Dan Hartman's "Vertigo" section of the famous "Vertigo/Relight My Fire" mini suite. Basicly, "Vertigo" with lyrics. Mixes so well with the Hartman track if timed just right it acts as if its the same record on both turntables at the same spot giving that warp effect as I like to call it.

DANCE REACTION a late-starting UK disco group who recorded the slightly bizarre but very danceable "Disco train".
It's a melodramatic slice of left-field Eurodisco which made a local wave by selling 400,000 copies in '81, though is little known today. Enjoy the psychedelic synth boogie.
