Jun 27, 2007 | 12:00 amNazia if you can see this from the heavens you are a nightingale. We don't speak about you in the past tense as you are always here with us, in our hearts, and in our homes as we play your and Zoheb's music. Your music is a gift and complement to our generation. The message (fresh and youthful) in your music made us rise up, awaken and follow our dreams and goals more easily than previously possible. Our love to Zoheb, Nazia and family.

Jan 29, 2004 | 7:48 amNazia Hassan, singer, born April 3 1965; died August 13 2000.
Here's a partial quote from the British paper the Guardian:
"Nazia Hassan, who has died of lung cancer at the age of 35, revolutionised Asian pop music. A singer of rare expressiveness, she pioneered the disco revolution in Indian film music in the 1980s.
If Someone Like You Comes Into My Life, the song she sang - as a 15-year-old schoolgirl - in Qurbani (Sacrifice, 1980), was one of the biggest hits in Bollywood film music. Young Asians in the sub-continent and Britain took to the dance floors to its tune..."

nizia was so sweet and malodious singer i always like her.
