"Without Your Love" by Cut Glass is an excellent song on this 20th Century 12" promo.
Despite what some may have you believe, Disco was still going strong into the 1980s and "Without Your Love" was proof of that. The producers on this track were also behind Hott City on the Butterfly label.
"Without..." was later covered by Paul Parker in a Hi-NRG fashion.

May 10, 2007 | 8:00 pmHere are the lyrics - a word or two might be off as they were translated from the vinyl :)
Cut Glass "Without Your Love"
Every minute that I have you here beside me
I hope to god that your love won't be denied me
Cause every time we touch I get that feeling
It keeps me from my head to my toes
Its coming from you
Its shaking me through and through
No I'm never gonna make it with out your love
I ain't even gonna try
No I'm never gonna make it without your love
You're Lovin, Your Lovin Your Lovin
No I'm never gonna make it with out your love
I ain't even gonna try
No I'm never gonna make it without your love
You're Lovin, Your Lovin, Your Lovin, Your Lovin
If I ever said I don't love you, I'd be lying
Your keep me under lock and key without trying
Cause when I look in your eyes, I get that feeling
Deep in my very soul
It's coming from you
It's shaking me through and through
No I'm never gonna make it with out your love
I ain't even gonna try
No I'm never gonna make it without your love
You're Lovin, Your Lovin Your Lovin
No I'm never gonna make it with out your love
I ain't even gonna try
No I'm never gonna make it without your love
You're Lovin, Your Lovin, Your Lovin, Your Lovin
I will be in love with you forever
No other man will do, no never
Cause whenever we Kiss, I get that feeling
Deep in my very soul
It's coming from you
It's shaking me through and through
No I'm never gonna make it with out your love
I ain't even gonna

Feb 21, 2006 | 1:12 pmAn outstanding effort...and yes, that is a WOMAN singing lede vocals in deep alto, not a man.
On paper, this record is nothing: a post-disco torch song full of synth-strings that don't remotely sound real.
But you know what? That vocal (and I cannot remember the singer's name) is so heartfelt, and they synthesizer so well arranged to reflect her urgencies, that the record becomes triumphant in under seven minutes. Although it seems to have finally begun to fade in popularity (or is it that I'm just not getting out like I used to), this was a staple on the gay party circuit for more than two DECADES due to its sheer self-conviction. What a great song to end a set with.
FWIW, I'll add that you can comfortably buy a virgin copy on the original label, price no object, purely as an investment!
The companion song (the flip on most vinyl reissues, and perhaps on the original) is "Alive With Love." It's less frantic than "Without Your Love" but no less sincere, and even warmer in its feel with the addition of a triangle in just the right spots.
Take it from a big, broad fan of pop music: these two records, underground disco that never got within a country mile of the Billboard Hot 100, are supreme examples of pop music arrangement, with instrumentation and writing that are bound cheek-to-jowl to the vocals.

Great site, It bings back good memories from my high school years
