NOTES ON THIS VINYL RECORD:: The Crown Heights Affair tracks "Dreaming A Dream" (1975), "Dancin'" (1977) along with "You Gave Me Love" (1980) are quintessential Disco classics by this great New York (Brooklyn) band.

This DeLite (De-Lite) Records 12 inch Disco single from 1977 has two great mixes New York style. It's a must have. A former co-worker actually played with one of the guys from this group on a separate project.

Crown Heights Affair also gave us two other great Disco hits "Every Beat of my Heart" and "Foxy Lady" this last one reminds me of "Rock creek park" (Blackbirds) and Tubular Bells (Theme from "The Exorcist")

I also have "Dancin" on De-Lite DSD 588 12" 45 RPM 6:13 B/W "Love Me" 6:01. The label is dated 1976; not sure if it's a repressing or not. The label is black.

As a person who regularly booked the CROWN HEIGHTS AFFAIR from 1974 until 1978, I can tell you for a fact, that the CROWN HEIGHTS AFFAIR was playin every one of their songs years before they got a record deal, and FOXY LADY was their first hit. WBLS in New York played 8 track versions of it!!!DANCIN came right after it. I burned this song!! A DISCO CLASSIC as was almost all their stuff. I have no other option, DANCIN gets a TEN on my scale from 1-10.

Old school pizzaboy here! Crown Hts Affair one of first disco groups to get radio play in 1975. Have this album on vinyl. I wonder what happened to group?

After the DISCO era passed by, they all went their separate ways. A few stayed in the music business playing with bands in Brooklyn, and being studio musicians. Robert Reid went on to become a record producer, others became PIZZA DELVERY BOYS!!!!
