MUSIC REVIEW & RECORD COLLECTOR NOTES

1980 marked Donna Summer's departure from Casablanca Records after a dispute with label head, Neil Bogart.

Donna Summer now moves to Warner Bros. for her Rock tinged "Wanderer" album, which was received well, but not to the same scale as her earlier releases.

The promo 12 inch single shown here includes a hot pink title sleeve with a stereo and mono version of an edited version of "Wanderer."

I wish an extended version had surfaced...because it DOES exist (if we're to believe all the rumors).

Donna goes new wave !!! The vocals, the electronic backing track and the element of surprise all worked.

Still one of my favorites of hers.
