I Feel Love (Patrick Cowley Megamix - 12")
Casablanca Records (UK) / 1982 / FEEL 12
12" Disco Single 45 RPM Vinyl record
Producer: Giorgio Moroder
Remixed by: Patrick Cowley
Side A
I Feel Love (Mega Mix) (15:45)
Side B
I Feel Love (Edit 8:50)
Here is the very in demand Patrick Cowley remix of "I Feel Love" by Donna Summer that was released in 1982. It is becoming increasingly difficult to obtain especially in good condition and the price continues to climb. It is shown here with its original title cover sleeve.
Donna Summer's "I Feel Love" in its original form is a staple in any Disco record collection, but this remix is a great addition and highly recommended. It is also available on the Hi-NRG Classics double CD.

Was this version released on an acetate for Sunshine Sound earlier with an addtional break?? Would love to see someone post that!!
I Feel Love is not only my all time favorite disco song, but my ALL TIME FAVORITE SONG!. I paid $50.00 to a DJ back in 1982 to get the 1980 DISCONET pressing of this track, then lo-and-behold, three weeks later it shows up on commercial vinyl! Oh well, it turned out to be a good choice because, listening to the two side-by-side, it was apparent that the Casablanca 12" was mastered FROM a vinyl copy...probably the same Disconet volume I'd just paid $50.00 for! So in the end by picking up two Casablanca discs, I had two copies to liten to, or play in a club, and my better sounding Disconet pressing for my personal file.
At the time of this writing ( March '07 ), the "Hi NRG Classics" CD mentioned above is no longer in print, but the full length 'Megamix' is currently available on at least three other CDs: 1) the U.K. and Asian versions of "The Journey - The Best Of Donna Summer" 2) The U.K. "12"/80's/Dance" 4 CD Box Set, and 3) The "Grand 12 Inches" 4 CD Box Set, compiled by Ben Liebrand and made in Holland ( This version has a couple of minor alterations: The "gradually building wash-of-synth" intro has been grafted on from the original version of the song, making it slightly longer, and the first edit at the break has been fixed from it's original, slightly off-beat cut to a corrected on-beat edit ).
Still fabulous 30 years later. Patrick Cowley, you are missed!
You'll never be heard if you don't post...
