Bernie! one of my favorite disco songs of all time. I bought the 45/LP back when they first came out. I recently picked up the 12" for kicks :-)

The original Miami disco band. T-CONNECTION were one of the early signings to Miami's TK label (along with KC & the SUNSHINE BAND) who ensured it's prolonged succes throughout the disco era. They were produced by Cory Wade and Theophilus Coakley who also wrote many of their tunes.
The international smash "Do what you wanna do", perhaps the archtype of the TK sound - bouncy, strong bassline and plenty of driving percussion, chanted vocals and a synthesizer riff. This record was sampled many many times.

Do what you wanna do!! What a track. Couldn't keep me off the floor when this played. A fine tune loved by anyone who could dance a bit

Yo, this was the jam back in '77. I remember being near a park jam and when you heard that opening Bass riff everybody would run into the park to dance.

Could this be THE BEST DISCO SONG EVER??? It certainly has the best introduction! I used this record as a starting point to my night, then would use some of the percussion a few times as the night progressed. Simply a great record, that the words DISCO CLASSIC fall short in explaining how great this record really was!! Of course it gets a TEN!!
