The 1978 "Live For Love" album by Elvin Shaad is the earliest record I have with Jacques Fred Petrus involved in a production capacity. It was recorded in France and has some interesting songs that grow on you. If you are expecting something such as the Peter Jacques Band, Macho or Change sound-forget it.

Agreed, especially re: "I'm Burning Up."
It's one of those minor anthems whose cult lasted into the 80s (and was heavily sampled and mixed in the early years of Chicago's house movement).
Long faded, but if you're ever lucky enough to hear it on the dance floor your body will respond instantly.
