Italo great, Celso Valli is back with another group called Passengers and the track Hot Leather is a smoker. Weaving a hard edged rock sound with synths and a great dance beat, "Hot Leather" will appeal to those who enjoy Tantra's Hills of katmandu and Macho's Roll.
This track was originally released in Italy on the Durium label. The vinyl featured here is the Canadian pressing from Unidisc sub-label, Uniwave Records with both sides being the same song as taken from the Italian LP.
Not to be outdone, the American label from San Francisco, Moby Dick Records, released a special mix by Michael Lewis, Craig Morey, Trip Ringwald and Rob Kimbel with additional instrumentation added and called a A Moby Mix with a lot of trick spacey effects. It's certainly trip-ee though I feel-at times-it's too gimmicky and takes away from the song. The flipside on the Moby edition does contain the original so either of these pressings will work so just grab one if you're lucky to find any of them in good shape.
For those interested, Hot Leather appears on the fantastic double CD, Disco Discharge: Pink Pounders.

I agree completely.
This long euro track is one of the best of its genre.
I still find myself playing it on my iPod.
